Since moving back to Michigan in 2022, I hadn't had Thai food--until now. While living in NYC, I used to frequent a small, amazing Thai restaurant near my place once a week. So, when I was scrolling through DoorDash, I thought, "Why not give Thai Tanic a try?" And let me tell you--I do not regret it! The food instantly reminded me of that cozy Thai spot on East 26th Street in New York. Thai Tanic is now officially my go-to Thai restaurant. I ordered takeout, but I couldn't help but notice how cute the restaurant's interior was, with its tropical greenery decor. The staff was also incredibly friendly. I placed my order ahead of time, and the estimated wait was spot-on--no extra delays. I love a good Tom Yum soup, and this one did not disappoint. It had the perfect balance of acidity, wasn't overly spicy, and featured fresh vegetables. For dinner, I went with the Combination Meal (available only online) with Pork Fried Rice. The sides included Garlic Delight Tofu and Masaman Potato Curry with Mixed Veggies. Each dish was packed with flavor! The Fried Rice wasn't greasy or overly buttery--just rich in taste. The Masaman Potato Curry was my absolute favorite; the coconut milk and curry consistency were spot-on, with no single ingredient overpowering the others. I'll definitely be ordering from Thai Tanic again and highly recommend it to anyone in the area. You won't regret it! Next time, I'm getting the Masaman Potato Curry with a side of white rice--no question about it!

OMG. I ordered last minute when my son wanted some fried chicken. Thai food sounded good and this was on the way. Storefront was closed but had a sign for pick up in the back. The restaurant itself was clean and nice. One line cook was prepping the orders. I arrived about 4 minutes after putting my order I. But probably only waited 5 to leave. My to go rice was packed to the brim. I had the vegetable curry with chicken without bell peppers. It was fantastic. It could have easily fed two people but I crushed it by myself since I couldn't save it or take it through the airport with me for later (but I would have if I thought I could make it!) the curry was sweet, savory and spicy. I had the medium and wouldn't go higher. Perfect blend for me. If you don't like spicy definitely go lower. I will definitely order again when I am in the area.

The food and service was amazing. There aren't many tables to sit down, but there was only a couple other people inside when I went. Lots of take out orders were being made. Support this local business!

Food was pretty good. Service was fair. Place was clean. Price is a little high but what can they do. Everything is high nowadays. I go back once in awhile.

Absolutely....Go to Thai Tanic in Sterling Heights!!! It's just a hole in the wall with maybe 4 tables, so it's probably mostly takeout. We ate in and the service was as if we were in a fancy restaurant!!! Those Moscow mule cups are what they give you you with an ice cold decanter of water!!! We had the sampler platter as an app (picture #1) and I ordered the peanut curry with tofu as my protein. I ordered it medium and it was good!!! They also have Boba Tea there but I don't personally like that so didn't get any. I overheard the people at the next table saying how good their Boba tea was'!! Such a good find, I will definitely go back!!

This review is just for DoorDash. I have a bit of a cold this week and I was craving pho. Thai Tanic (fun name!) was offering a 38% discount on the app, so I figured I would try it. I ordered the beef pho with brisket. When I have had pho delivered before, it comes with the broth separate and all of the fixings on the side, which was the case here as well. The broth was a savory beef broth and very tasty. I asked for no jalapenos on the side and they did oblige. My only semi-complaint is that the brisket was different from other beef pho I've had ... A bit thin, but still tasted okay. That being said this was very delicious and the price was right, so I would order from them again. Google said it was about a 25-minute drive from the location to my condo and it still arrived piping fresh and hot. A very nice treat on a cold day when I was not feeling well.

My favorite Thai place was closed and I was really craving some Pad Se Ew; this place was highly recommended so I figured I'd try it out. I included an order of their spring rolls, which come 3 to a set. I thought $6.50 was kinda steep but these things were YUUUUGE! The taste was pretty consistent with most places around. My selections for the dish were chicken AND mixed veggies, medium heat. Everything was pretty on point. Spice level was good, noodles were cooked perfectly and nothing really missed a beat. I prefer more of a gravy as far as sauce but this was definitely a decent back up. More than enough to last for a couple of meals! I left it out and continued to snack on it throughout the day. It satisfied my craving and would probably do the same for you.
